Did Ya Know, Global Replace is now available RealNex CORE CRM!
This powerful addition allows you to update any number of fields on any number of records, all at the same time. But be careful, Global Replace cannot be undone. Be sure you have selected the right filter before concluding this function. To maintain security this feature requires permission, so that not everyone on the team will have the privilege unless it is granted by the administrator.
Best practice for Global Replace is to first select the database you want to work on - for example Contacts or Properties. Then select List view and be sure your Columns are set to display the Fields you want to replace. Run a filter to narrow down your list to just the records you want to update. You can refine the list further by manually selecting or de-selecting certain records. Once you have verified the list has been accurately filtered, select the Global Replace function and input the Fields you want to modify and the new value you want to set.
This new feature helps you rapidly update your database. A few examples of when this might be used include coding sub-markets to a group of buildings, classifying a group of contacts as investors and their type or even setting a follow up date to prospect list.
